Peel Ports Clydeport is the Peel Ports Group business that runs ports and harbours on the River Clyde and the Firth of Clyde. Its operating company, Clydeport Operations Limited, is the statutory harbour authority for the Clyde and its estuary and is registered at 16 Robertson Street in Glasgow. Peel Ports Group itself is registered in England, with its head office at the Port of Liverpool.
Clydeport's facilities include King George V Dock in Glasgow, Greenock Ocean Terminal, Hunterston, and Ardrossan. The container terminal at Greenock opened in 1969, and in 2022 Peel Ports ordered two new ship-to-shore cranes for it. In March 2025 Global Ports Holding signed a 50-year agreement with Clydeport Operations to manage cruise operations at Greenock.
As harbour authority, the business has a statutory duty to maintain and conserve the harbours and provide safe navigation, including notices to mariners and oil spill contingency planning for the Clydeport harbour area. In 2024 it tendered works for the Hunterston Construction Yard in North Ayrshire as part of its investment programme.
