Contagious

Contagious is a creative agency with studios in Leith, Edinburgh, and in Glasgow. Founded in 2001, it works almost entirely with drinks brands, covering brand identity, packaging, and the design of distillery visitor experiences and brand homes.

Its project list includes Scotch whisky and gin work for names such as Old Pulteney, The Dalmore, Ardbeg, Bowmore, Lochlea, Bladnoch, and Edinburgh Gin, alongside the Rosebank Distillery visitor experience in Falkirk. The agency also produces bartender education and trade activation material, such as a toolkit for Ardbeg, and publishes its own commentary on the drinks industry.

Although the business is rooted in Scotland, much of its client base sits overseas. Recent work includes projects for American spirits producers such as Angel's Envy and the Texas-based Shiner, and packaging for the Japanese whisky brand Karuizawa. The Edinburgh studio operates from Commercial Quay in Leith, while the Glasgow team is based at Glasgow Collective on East Campbell Street.
