ASET International Energy Training Academy

ASET International Energy Training Academy is an Aberdeen-based provider of technical and safety training for the energy and wider industrial sectors. It runs courses from the Altens Training Centre in Aberdeen and from a Marine Training Centre at North East Scotland College's City Campus on Gallowgate.

Course areas include process operations, electrical engineering, hazardous area competence, emergency response, mechanical engineering and marine operations. Examples range from safe isolation and reinstatement of plant, high-voltage switching and pressure testing to power system protection, dynamic positioning and jack-up rig marine operations.

ASET was established in 1993. It trades through Aberdeen Skills and Enterprise Training Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of North East Scotland College. The academy delivers courses under the Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund, run with Skills Development Scotland and the Scottish Government.
