LotusDx is a medical technology start-up developing at-home tests for sexually transmitted infections. The company was founded in Glasgow and runs its research and development laboratory at ONE BioHub on the Foresterhill Health Campus in Aberdeen.
Its first products are test kits for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. Users would order a kit to their home and read the result through a companion app, without sending a sample to a laboratory or attending a clinic. The tests remain in development, with work moving towards clinical validation.
LOTUSDX LTD was incorporated in Scotland in November 2025. Its base at ONE BioHub provides laboratory space and links with NHS Grampian for clinical collaboration. The company was a Wild Card winner in Scottish EDGE Round 27 and received the Social Impact Prize at Converge 2025.
