East Pizzas is an Edinburgh sourdough pizza business that makes dough balls, pizza bases, and topped pizzas for trade, retail, and home customers. It also runs a pizza counter at the Bonnie & Wild food market in the St James Quarter.
The dough uses flour, water, and salt and is proved for 72 hours. East Pizzas supplies foodservice customers and sells online across the UK, offering fresh and frozen dough balls, pre-stretched 12-inch bases, and ready-to-cook pizzas. In late 2025 it launched a retail range, including Margherita, Pepperoni, and Spicy pizzas, through farm shops, delis, and independent stores in Scotland.
The company was founded in 2017 by Roly Simpson and Rob Marshall and started as a pizzeria on Commercial Street in Leith. Demand for dough during the pandemic took the business into wholesale and online sales, and it says it now produces around 250,000 dough balls a month. Toppings and other ingredients are sourced from Scottish suppliers where possible.
