COCO Chocolatier is an Edinburgh chocolate maker based at Port Edgar Marina in South Queensferry, where it has its production kitchen, offices, and shop. The company produces chocolate bars, truffles, giant buttons, drinking chocolate, and seasonal gifts, each wrapped in packaging designed by independent artists.
Its chocolate is made from single-origin Colombian cocoa, with the first stage of production carried out in Colombia before the chocolate is finished in Scotland. The range is palm oil free, and the dark chocolate products are vegan. Flavours include Isle of Skye sea salt, cold brew coffee, and gin and tonic. COCO sells online, through stockists such as Selfridges, and to trade buyers through its wholesale and corporate gifting services.
The business was first established in 2004 and has been run by Calum Haggerty since 2013. It moved from Portobello to a 10,000 sq ft former retail warehouse at Port Edgar to bring production and offices together. The company also runs chocolate-making classes and has said it exports to more than 16 countries.
