Glenhead Engineering

Glenhead Engineering is a precision engineering company on Beardmore Way in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. It designs and manufactures high-precision components, tooling, jigs, fixtures, press and mould tools, and special purpose machines for customers in the UK and overseas.

Its services include design and reverse engineering, CNC and multi-axis machining, precision toolmaking and grinding, EDM work, fabrication and structural steel, and research and development. 3D scanning was added in 2024. Fabrication work is handled by its sister company, West of Scotland Fabrication Ltd, set up in 2013. Sectors served include aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, food and drink, medical, oil and gas, renewables, and life sciences.

Glenhead was established in 2005, when it bought the premises, machinery, and much of the workforce of Clydesdale Tool & Gauge, an engineering firm founded in 1968. It moved to a new factory in 2014 and has since added CNC machining centres, wire EDM, and mill-turn equipment. The company runs an apprenticeship programme and works with local schools on STEM activities.
