Haar Sauna is a Shetland business offering wood-fired outdoor sauna sessions by the sea. It runs fixed saunas at St Ninian's Beach and in Lerwick and takes a mobile sauna to other locations around the islands, including Whalsay.
Customers can book community sessions, private sessions, and events such as men's and women's hours. Between rounds of heat, guests cool off with sea swimming or cold plunges. Sessions are designed to suit first-time users. The business also sells session bundles, gift cards, and merchandise, and offers sauna experiences for commercial clients.
Haar Sauna was started by Callum Scott after he spent several years living and working in Norway, and it is run with Hannah Mary Goodlad. In May 2024 it was named the UK's Best Nature Sauna at the British Sauna Society's first Sauna Summit. Haar Sauna Ltd was incorporated in Scotland in October 2023, with its office in Lerwick.
