IndiNature manufactures natural fibre insulation for construction at its mill on Oxnam Road in Jedburgh, in the Scottish Borders. The products are made mainly from UK-grown industrial hemp, with flax also used in some lines. The operating company is Industrial Nature UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Industrial Nature Ltd.
The product range includes IndiTherm flexible insulation batts and IndiBoard rigid boards, which together form the IndiBreathe system. They are intended for walls, roofs, floors, and lofts. According to the company, IndiTherm contains at least 90% natural fibres, with a polymer binder making up the rest. Sales go through merchants and distributors, with account managers covering Scotland and covering England and Wales.
The business was founded in 2016. Its Jedburgh production line started in October 2022, and the company describes it as the UK's first high-capacity natural fibre insulation line. The mill site draws on the Borders' long history of textile manufacturing.
