Johnston Fuels is a family-run fuel distribution business based at Standhill on Whitburn Road, Bathgate. It supplies heating oil, commercial fuels, lubricants, and LPG to homes and businesses across Scotland and parts of England.
The group trades through several brands. Johnston Oils handles heating oil, commercial fuels, and lubricants, while JGas delivers LPG to homes, businesses, and metered estates. Johnston Fuelcards offers Shell, UK Fuels, and Key Fuels cards accepted at more than 4,000 UK sites. The business also runs heating services, vehicle maintenance, and a range of biofuel products.
The company traces its origins to 1965, when Jimmy Johnston started out with one tanker and a small yard. It describes itself as a second-generation family business and says more than 18,000 homes rely on it for heating fuel. JGas has delivered LPG since 1983 from the Bathgate head office, supported by depots and distributors.
