Mitchells Roberton is a Glasgow firm of solicitors and estate agents based at George House on North Hanover Street, beside George Square. It advises private clients and businesses and is regulated by the Law Society of Scotland.
Its work covers private client matters such as wills, trusts, and estates, as well as tax, family law, commercial and residential property, litigation, debt recovery, and general commercial advice. The firm runs an estate agency service alongside residential conveyancing. It also handles court applications, including executry petitions at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
The practice traces its roots to the 18th century and is often described as the oldest law firm in Glasgow. Its predecessor firm, Roberton, Low, Roberton & Cross, included James Roberton, who held the Professor of Conveyancing chair at the University of Glasgow. The business now trades through Mitchells Roberton Ltd, incorporated in Scotland in February 2015.
