Unfolded

Unfolded is an Edinburgh-based fashion brand selling women's clothing online under the This is Unfolded name. It is the trading name of We Are Unfolded Limited, a company registered in Scotland in 2021. The business makes garments only after customers have ordered them, rather than producing stock in advance.

Its collections cover dresses, trousers, tops, jumpsuits, partywear, and workwear, with measurements published for each garment. Customers are invited to help shape new designs, and the company says more than 18,000 people take part. Production takes place at partner factories in India, so each product page shows an estimated shipping date.

Unfolded was founded by Cally Russell, Jamie Sutherland, and Hilde Frydnes. The company describes itself as remote-first, with staff in Scotland and England. It works with Pratham, an education charity in India, and links each purchase to funding for children's literacy. According to the company, it appeared on BBC's Dragons' Den and turned down the investment offered.
