Western Ferries operates a vehicle and passenger ferry service across the Firth of Clyde between Hunter's Quay near Dunoon and McInroy's Point near Gourock. The crossing takes about 20 minutes and provides a frequent road link for residents, businesses, visitors, and freight traffic travelling between Cowal and Inverclyde.
The company has operated the route since 1973 and runs vessels throughout the day from its terminals on both sides of the Clyde. Commercial users can use the service for vans, goods vehicles, contractors, deliveries, and other road traffic that would otherwise travel around the upper Clyde.
Western Ferries' head office is at Hunter's Quay in Argyll and Bute. Its official website provides fares, timetables, live service information, ticketing, terminal details, and contact information for passengers and business users.
