Woven Whisky is an independent whisky blender based in Leith, Edinburgh. Rather than distilling its own spirit, it buys casks of malt and grain whisky from distilleries and brokers, moves some into its own selected casks for further maturation, and builds blends from this library of components.
The company makes blended malt and blended whisky in small single batches, many released as numbered Experiences, alongside world blends that combine Scotch with whiskies from other countries. Its SuperBlend includes Tennessee and German whiskies among its components, and Pastures New, released in 2025, was billed as the first blended whisky made entirely from English whiskies. Woven sells online to UK customers and through specialist retailers, bars, and restaurants, and invites outlets and distributors to list its range.
The business was set up in 2020 by a group of friends, including co-founder and whisky maker Pete Allison, and trades through Freshwater Spirits Company Ltd. In May 2026 it opened the Woven Blending Rooms at Browns of Leith on The Shore, where visitors can create and bottle their own blend. Woven plans to move its full blending operation into a two-floor facility in the same building, due for completion in 2027.
