Pufferfish to open Edinburgh HQ for immersive tech open day

Edinburgh technology company Pufferfish will open its Causewayside headquarters on 22 September for a day of demonstrations focused on its interactive display systems.

The Pufferfish Open Day will begin at 10am and is aimed at customers, partners, AV and creative technology professionals, investors, and others interested in seeing the company’s technology in operation.

Visitors will be able to try PufferTouch and PufferHemi, alongside demonstrations covering the company’s wider work across display hardware, software, content, and live applications.

Pufferfish develops spherical, hemispherical, and other non-planar display systems for uses including museums, education, corporate environments, events, visitor attractions, and experiential installations.

The Edinburgh-based company says the open day is intended to give visitors direct access to both the technology and the programmers, engineers, and designers behind it.

“We wanted to create an opportunity for people to come in, get their hands on the technology and really understand what makes it different.”

Stephen Patterson, CEO of Pufferfish Displays, said the company has delivered projects for brands, scientific institutions, museums, events, and creative studios around the world.

The event will also cover PufferStudio, PufferEvents, and PufferTech, which span content creation, event and rental activity, and hardware engineering and manufacturing.

People unable to attend in Edinburgh can join online demonstrations scheduled for 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm on the same day.
