PEAT'D is a Glasgow food brand producing a range of peat-smoked tomato sauces. It trades through Tongue In Peat Ltd, a Scottish-registered company, and lists its headquarters on West Regent Street in Glasgow.
The sauces are made by smoking tomatoes over peat rather than wood. They are sold in pouches in Original, Garlic, and Chilli versions, as well as in mixed boxes. The range is made without gluten or dairy and is suitable for vegans. PEAT'D sells direct to consumers through its own online shop and supplies retailers through a wholesale route, with a minimum order of three cases of ten pouches.
The brand's founder spent 12 years in the whisky industry, where peat smoke is used to flavour malted barley, before applying the same process to food. The company says it set up the Peatland Restoration Foundation to support restoration work linked to its use of peat. In June 2026 PEAT'D won the STV-supported Growth EDGE award in Round 27 of Scottish EDGE, worth £70,000 plus £75,000 of advertising airtime.
