Bad Dinosaur is an app design and development agency based in Edinburgh. It builds mobile and web software for SMEs and growing businesses, working from city-centre offices with a permanently employed in-house team.
Services include mobile and web app development, clickable prototypes, planning and strategy, extra delivery capacity for existing projects, and rescue of troubled software projects. It also takes early "vibe coded" software through to production. The agency has worked mainly with Microsoft .NET, and its past projects include a pharmacy platform built with the data-sharing company digi.me.
Kyle Whittington founded the business in 2013 and remains managing director. The agency opened a Glasgow office in 2018 and says it has helped launch more than 100 digital products. It was named Digital Tech Business of the Year by ScotlandIS in 2020. The legal entity, Bad Dinosaur Limited, is registered in England.
