Balmoral Group

Balmoral Group is an Aberdeen-based investment group with roots in engineering and manufacturing. Sir Jim Milne established the business in 1980 with a small team producing glass-reinforced plastic products, and it developed into a wider group serving energy, civil and environmental markets.

The group’s 2026 structure is increasingly focused on long-term investment and stewardship across a diversified portfolio. Current interests include Balmoral Tanks, Balmoral Park, Blaze Solutions and The Marcliffe hotel, bringing together manufacturing, energy, property and hospitality businesses.
