Highland Heritage Woodworks is a timber and carpentry business based at Dairy Buildings on the Dunecht Estate in Aberdeenshire. It mills Scottish timber and turns it into construction materials, bespoke joinery, and cabins.
The business has three strands: bespoke carpentry, high-end cabins, and precision-cut timber from its own sawmill. Its work includes flooring, kitchens, staircases, furniture, cladding, decking, SIPS panels, and post-and-beam structures. It runs a Mebor sawmill line and a Secal drying kiln, and sources timber from FSC, PEFC, and Grown in Britain forestry.
Guy Phillips founded the company with Armands Balams, and it was incorporated in February 2021. A Scottish Enterprise grant supported investment in the sawmill operation on the Dunecht Estate. The business aims to increase the use of home-grown timber in construction and specialist woodworking projects. Its customer base includes architects, builders, and clients commissioning bespoke timber work.
