Orkney Brewery is a beer producer based at Quoyloo on Orkney Mainland, close to Skara Brae. The brewery operates from a former schoolhouse and produces cask, bottled and canned beers for retail, hospitality and trade customers.
The brewing operation dates to 1988. Its range includes permanent and seasonal ales, while the Quoyloo site also has a visitor centre with brewery tours, tastings, a shop and food and drink facilities. This combination gives the business both a manufacturing role and a direct visitor-facing presence in Orkney.
The legal operator is Sinclair Breweries Limited, an active Scottish company incorporated in 2006 and registered for beer manufacture. Although its registered office is now in Nairn, the public Orkney Brewery remains at Quoyloo and that production site is the location used here.
