Talking Medicines is a Glasgow data science company that analyses health-related conversations for pharmaceutical companies and healthcare communications agencies. Its Glasgow office is in the BECO Building on Kingston Street, and it also has an office in Jersey City, New Jersey. The company was formed in 2013.
Its DrugVoice platform gathers and classifies unstructured dialogue from healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers, then measures how brand messages land with each audience. A proprietary Message Resonance Score is used to compare messages and examine their association with intent to prescribe. Results are delivered through a natural language interface, reports, and workshops.
Talking Medicines was founded by Jo Halliday, Dr Elizabeth Fairley, and Dr Scott Crae. Its in-house research unit, TMLabs, trains the company's models and publishes papers, including recent work on GLP-1 medicines. Scottish Enterprise has supported the business through investment and its growth programmes.
