Tweedvale Knitwear is a knitting mill at Tweedvale Mills West in Walkerburn, a Tweed valley village in the Scottish Borders. It makes garments and accessories knitted from natural animal fibres, mainly cashmere and lambswool, for customers in the UK and overseas.
Much of the mill's output is knitted for other brands. It also makes two labels of its own, Kinalba Cashmere and Kearse & Boys. Each stage of production is handled by staff trained in that technical process, and the finishing work is done by hand.
The mill has been operating for more than 40 years. Around the start of 2023 it was taken over by Sinclair Duncan Textiles, a family-run textile business that occupies the neighbouring units at Tweedvale Mills West. The new owner kept on the mill's existing skilled workforce and has continued to build on it. Knitwear is now made alongside its other textile work on the same site.
