William Robertson & Sons is a family-run meat products business based at the Belmont Factory on Hardengreen Industrial Estate, near Dalkeith in Midlothian. The business has been producing meat products for more than 120 years and sells to customers from its premises.
Its products include steak pies and macaroni pies, Lorne sausages and other sausages, burgers, haggis, and black and white pudding, along with other butchery lines. Meat cutting and product manufacturing are both carried out at the factory.
In 2018 the business was named Family Business of the Year by Midlothian and East Lothian Chambers of Commerce. Its steak burger won a silver award in the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders' Scottish Beefburger Awards for 2018 to 2019. The current company, William Robertson & Sons Limited, was incorporated in 1986, and members of the Robertson family continue to serve as directors.
